    Band History:

Manfred Faust (dr) and Martin Hartmann (g, h, voc) aimed their first successes during 1978/79, being the co-founders of the rock formation "Herlin". Certain rooms roofed over by the town hall of Hermersberg served as a meeting and practise place, before, in winter 81/82, a major fire destroyed the band's existence meanings at once. In 1989 their paths crossed again and the old "flames" literally began to blaze once more. They were joined by Jürgen Christmann (g, voc), who had already gained experience being a member of "Back Seat Betty" and "Red Roosters", and Volker Schäfer (b). They had encountered them during musical sessions in the "Erdfeder". After a few months, the Tin Pan Alley Blues Band was ready for the first gig. During the following years, the band could escape all conflagrations: for example, when in Schopp the recently inaugurated Rockhaus burned down, where several days before a practise room had been hired. Fortunately, at that moment the band was on the road. Likewise a local was destroyed by fire a day before a programmed gig. Nonetheless, the band was also "boiling" in a musical sense. Here go some of the highlights among the gigs, which became more and more frequent:

    · Open Air in Hermersberg with HEINZ GLASS BAND and WERNER LÄMMERHIRT
    · T.P.Alley meets LOUSIANA RED
    · Bluesfestival Neustadt-Mussbach
    · Hunsrückfestival: "Offene Art", joined by: EMBRYO
    · Bluesmeeting Zweibrücken, with JOHN KIRKBRIDE
    · "Blues To Feel Good" - Festival, Kammgarn with SAVANNAH BLUES BAND
    · Bluesfestival NW-Gimmeldingen with "THEM - THE BELFAST BLUES BAND"
    · Bikerfestival Sörenberg, CH
    · T.P.Alley meets CHICKEN SHACK in the "Cotton Club"
    · T.P.Alley meets B.B. & THE BLUES SHACKS
    · CD - Production: "Live in the Cotton Club"
    · T.P.Alley meets BLUE MOOD in the "Erdfeder"

When Volker Schäfer had to leave us in 1997 due to professional reasons, he sent us Franz Schreiber to act as replacement. Furthermore, Albert Koch (h, voc) became a new member during the CD production in February '98. In October '99, guitar player Franz Engelhardt was engaged as Jürgen Christmann's successor by request, and in January '05, after many years of membership, Manfred Faust passed the drum sticks over to Helmut Koch. Towards the end of 2005, Franz Engelhard took his leave from the band, but with Karl Heinz "Blacky" Schwarz a real champion was engaged, to the entire satisfaction of the crew.
